Basic but clean and simple. The airconditioning works and the chalets small but functional. The bus connection works although the timetable somewhat erratic!

It was close to the City of Rome. It was clean and a reasonable price. It had a pool, food market, business office with many computers, and a laundry mat. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. I loved that the campground had so many travelers from all over the world, all ages. I loved meeting people and learning about other places and cultures.

My accomodations were a long walk from the entrance, pool, restaurant and store.

The price was ok we stayed in a bungalow, though too small for 3 people.

The on site restaurant sold average to poor food, and staff seemed to prefer to be on their mobile phones rather than serve. There also seemed to be little system in place, with waiters and waitresses simply holding plates of food in front of various diners until they found the desired recipients. I am aware that a lot of young travellers use the site but the staff and I guess the owners seem to think that "f**k me, I'm famous" on their t-shirts a clever thing to wear. The attitude of much of the staff seemed uninterested and, as a result, they came across as impolite and unattentive. The pool is small and at peak times gets very busy. The two tables tennis tables had nets so loose that the ball would often get tangled up. And finally the wi-fi connection is virtually nonexistent and requires the tedious and time consuming process of entering a unique username and password for each session. The so-called "wireless zone" had a connection even worse than that achieved sitting outside our bungalow, a contradiction than never stopped being immensely frustrating.

The main advantage is price. The camping is quite big, there are a lot of small houses. The hot water is all the time. In every bungalow there is air conditioning, which can increase or decrease temperature, In my bungalow there was a Wifi signal available. The reception is running from 7 till 23. Near this Camping is McDonald's (4 minutes walk) and Panorama (supermarket, something like Carrefour 3 minutes walk). In the Camping there is a small shop (but it is closed from November till February). Very near to the Camping is bus stop.

The neighborhood is not calm and nice. When I was there I saw few prostitutes and homeless people. Near this Camping is highway, which can be crossed only by footbridge. If you get off on the wrong bus stop you have to go down the highway. There is tiny sidewalk so it is quite dangerous. To the center, you have to go by 246 or 247. It is about 6 bus stops. Then you have to transfer to the subway line a station "Cornelia". To the Vatican you have to travel 4 stations, to the center of Rome there is 10 stations. Trip to Vatican takes minimum 35 minutes, to the center ~45 minutes. If you travel for tourist purposes, I think it is better to stay in center.

It's not exactly the comfort of 4 or 5 star, but if you are travelling on budget, it's the best option you can find. I especially loved the restaurant. It had a good party scene for travellers on budget.

location was fabulous! so close to the Vatican / Saint Peter's Basilica! staff was nice, reception was warm, food service (especially coffee!) was great! value for money - excellent! would be a repeat customer, but would book a Cabana(?) for more privacy and space. price was right!!

cold the first night - had a hard time regulating the temp in our bungalow also, noise from other campers after 9pm was more than expected and lasted until almost 11pm.

Good location, nice outbreak from the city's fast life. Great deal for the frice. Definetely wuold recommend.

Relative close location to the city centre and the fact that although being in Rome, staying at the campsite (instead of a hotel) brought a holiday feel to the whole experience.

I liked the fact that there was clothes washing and drying machines available to us.

They gave us dishes and pots and pans and a stove & refridgerator, but nothing to do the dishes with. No sponge or soap or towel.

Excellent value and supermarket across the street

  • Family with children

    Shop close by

It was cold and noisy - the "chalets" are made of plastic and don't keep the noise out or warmth in.

  • Family with children

Too far out of town, and the cabins didnt even come with a kettle or toaster, or a cloth to wash dishes.

Not much to like about. The room was 10feet by 10 feet (3mt by 3 mt) Maybe it would have been good for a group :). The restaurant was good with good service.

The room wasn't that clean when we entered. In 3 days our room or linen weren't cleaned or changed. The reception is a good walk away and supermarket is on the other side of the motorway. The shuttle service didn't work on Sunday afternoon (2.30pm) and when we called reception they told us that it's siesta time so we had to wait an extra hour (3.30pm) in the heat and sun. There are no buses working on Sunday from near the camping village to city center. It's a long way to Rome City center some times one has to take 2 buses to reach destination.

Instead of a bungalow they offered us a chalet for the same price when we arrived which was great.....bungalows are really small and for 2 people a chalet was perfect. They were like 90% Germans (school classes) when we stayed there but by midnight it was always quiet. The pool area is small but enough as it was never busy. We used the train which was 10min away (Roma Aurelia) and takes around 20min too Rome for 1€-1.50€ per person it goes once an hour. You can buy tickets on the machine next to the campsite reception (stamp on the platform). The supermarket is across the road, huge and cheap ;o)) There is also Campsite Shuttle Bus for 2€ to the Vatican. The Shuttle to airport is great, 13€ to Ciampino / 11€ to Fiumicino, need to book at least a day in advance. We found it a perfect place to stay in Rome, as the city is loud and busy so after a long sightseeing day we always were looking forward to relax on the campsite.....they have everything you need there and we can recommend this place

Only one thing the quality of the restaurant was disappointing, we tried 3 times...pizza was cold, chicken too dry.

swimming pool, car parking just at your bungalo, supermarket in the village, free wifi

no kitchen on site, car has to be parked at the entrance after 11 PM (cannot drive to your bungalo)
